Julia Gray psychotherapist and yoga instructor

Welcome

My name is Julia Gray (she/her)

I started Atha Therapy and Wellness because both psychotherapy and yoga offer unique pathways to understand, balance, and empower ourselves more fully. These practices have been transformative in my own life, and in my work as a psychotherapist and yoga instructor, I’ve seen how deeply they can support healing, clarity, and connection.

As a graduate of Columbia University's School of Social Work and a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New Jersey, I help individuals navigate emotional and mental well-being through therapy. With my 200-hour Registered Yoga Teacher certification (RYT200), I offer yoga as a practice to cultivate presence, stillness, and self-awareness.

While therapy and yoga are distinct offerings, each provides meaningful ways to support your well-being.

I offer both practices as separate, focused paths—so you can choose what best supports your journey. I invite you to explore the site to learn more about how Atha Therapy and Wellness can be a resource in your life.

Embrace this moment as an opportunity for transformation.

At Atha Therapy and Wellness, every moment holds the potential for change and healing. The name is inspired by the first yoga sutra, Atha yoga anushasanam, which translates to "Now, the practice begins." This serves as a powerful reminder that the present moment is always available to us—there is nothing to wait for, no perfect time needed. Right now is the moment to make a change, to take a step forward, and to bring new awareness to your life. Whether you're navigating challenges with your mental health or seeking greater flexibility and strength in both mind and body, Atha Therapy and Wellness is honored to support you in embracing the now and moving toward growth.
